Vancouver's Another Kind of Blues with Neil Embo from House Of Commons. Not blues music as the name may imply but decent mid 80's punk. Neil gave me this on blue vinyl when I used to buy records off of him.

Welcome to Punkanada where I'm trying to get as much good 80's Canadian Punk music as possible in one place, especially bands I like or have seen play live. All of the music here is available for download elsewhere but why waist hours searching when I've already done all of the dirty work for you. I've also spent a lot of time editing the music to get the sound as good as possible. Enjoy, and if you like the tunes please LEAVE A COMMENT!

The Subhumans - No Wishes, No Prayers
The final release from The Subhumans on Black Flag's SST records. This was one of the first punk records I ever bought. I ended up selling it to a friend for beer money, and some years later convinced him to sell it back to me although not in the same condition. He was pretty hard on his vinyl, thanks John!

Red Tide - Kelp And Salal 7" EP
A decent EP from RED TIDE out of Victoria B.C. The drummer Ken Jensen, later went on to play for D.O.A. before tragically he was killed in a fire at his basement home several years later. (RIP)

Riot .303 - Crowd Control 7" EP
Riot .303 from Calgary kind of reminds me of The Subhumans. Ron Hadley sang for this band and later went on to Beyond Possession.

Beyond Possession - Is Beyond Possession
This Beyond Possession LP is fast and furious. It's hardcore, crossover and metal all in one. If you're into that sort of mix like I am then definitely get this, you won't be disappointed.

Unwanted - Shattered Silence
The Unwanted from Winnipeg. This album has a slight metal influence, the songs are good but a bit boring. I saw them live but can't remember who else played, maybe Youth Brigade.

The Subhumans - Incorrect Thoughts
Incorrect Thoughts is just a truly awesome album. Unfortunately this is the reissue that "CD Presents" put out. It has a different track order and 2 extra songs, plus a cover so ugly that I decided to use the original. It was put out without the bands input or permission and the guy is claiming ownership of the songs! I have 2 copies of the original, one is sealed.
The Subhumans have re-recorded this LP and have released it with a few more songs as "Same Thoughts Different Day". Go and buy it! I'm going to when I go back to Canada.
