The Unwanted from Winnipeg. This album has a slight metal influence, the songs are good but a bit boring. I saw them live but can't remember who else played, maybe Youth Brigade.

Welcome to Punkanada where I'm trying to get as much good 80's Canadian Punk music as possible in one place, especially bands I like or have seen play live. All of the music here is available for download elsewhere but why waist hours searching when I've already done all of the dirty work for you. You probably saw The Unwanted & Youth Brigade at the BYO show in Winnipeg at The Playhouse Theatre in August 1984. Also on the bill were Personality Crisis, SNFU & Stretch Marks. This was only the second gig I ever went to. One of the best ones as well.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm from REgina so I saw them at the Shniztel Hause. PC and Stretch Marks didn't play unfortunately but one of the best shows I've seen.
ReplyDeleteLive, the Unwanted were Unpredictable. On a good night they were Good, on a bad night, IT SHOWED!!! .By the time this Lp was released, Randy Rusu had joined on 2nd guitar and the band went from unpredictable to brilliant overnight. This record is very much of the time and hasn't dated well but this is when the band was at its peak as a live unit. Sadly,it didn't last long
